Happy Canada Day!
It is also the first day of the new HST here in Ontario.
But DON”T WORRY! The HST doesn’t affect any of our prices!! From your point of view as a customer, you will be paying the exact same amount in taxes as before on all the various items that we sell.
For example, diapers and baby clothing used to be PST exempt and they were only charged the 5% GST.
Under the new HST, diapers and baby clothes are still exempt of that extra 8% so you will still be charged just 5% taxes, just under the new label HST.
Whatever used to be just GST is still only 5%HST, and whatever used to be GST and PST is still 13%HST. Hurrah!
